Founded in 2007 by its current Principals, David Scherer and Michael Episcope, Origin is a leading manager of private real estate funds with a distinct focus on multifamily residential real estate investments and approximately $2.8 billion of investor equity under management as of June 30, 2024. Origin and its affiliates manage various funds that buy, develop, operate, and lend to multifamily properties. Origin targets investment markets located throughout the Southwest and Southeast U.S. that are experiencing outsized population growth, job growth, and demand for multifamily housing.
