Release Notes: CAIS Tech | Q1 2025

Article

We’ve been hard at work making the CAIS platform even better. Here’s a look at the latest enhancements built to streamline your investment experience.

New Features Added to CAIS Compass

In our annual survey of financial advisors, we heard that the majority (54%) rely on portfolio construction tools when building their portfolios.

We continue to enhance our own portfolio construction tool, CAIS Compass, which is designed to help you analyze the potential impact of alternative asset classes on portfolios—and then, at your discretion, you can implement the allocation you build using the CAIS platform trade experience.

Here are some new ways users can leverage the tool:

  • Communicate takeaways from your analysis with the help of AI-powered summarization, which is rolling out in phases by firm.

  • Increase collaboration across your teams by sharing portfolios within your firm.

  • Enjoy a more streamlined user experience by hiding previous comparison values when updating a portfolio.

Track Past Observations and Monitor Performance Data for Structured Investments

Monitoring structured investments requires real-time insights and comprehensive data. The latest enhancements to our Structured Investments Lifecycle Management Tool are designed to give advisors greater visibility and control over their structured notes.

  • Historical Data: Advisors can now track missed call observations for structured notes in their portfolio, ensuring they have a complete record of past events.

  • Performance Data: Advisors can monitor key performance metrics, including upcoming observation dates, proximity to downside thresholds, potential payouts at the final observation date, and the likelihood of an auto-callable note being called based on its position relative to the call barrier.

Enhanced Orders Pipeline

We are rolling out an updated experience to users for managing and viewing orders on the CAIS platform. In the Orders interface, users can:

  • View an intuitive dashboard that displays total open orders and amount, as well as the number of orders with “in good order” status or those that require remediation.

  • More detailed information in the orders pipeline, including eSignature status, due date reminders, highlighting of close due dates, and more.

  • Easily filter between open, completed, and our newly introduced view of canceled orders. You can also filter by product, order status, household, and more.

Easily Find Funds Accepted by Your Custodian

To help users quickly find the right investment products, we've added Accepted Custodian as a filter on our fund menu page. This joins other filtering options like objective, strategy, and investor level, making it easier to view funds recognized by specific custodians and giving users a new way to refine their search and compare options more efficiently.

Coming Soon

Multiple-Order Creation

We are excited to share that coming soon, CAIS users will have the ability to create multiple orders at once for a client, using one form. As this functionality is rolled out, we hope it brings more operational efficiency and allows advisors to scale their subscription processes. This enhancement can help advisors streamline the experience they create for their own clients, whether they’re starting their own journey from the product menu or CAIS Compass.  We encourage you to be on the lookout for further details from our team on this soon-to-come initiative.

Continuously Optimizing for Financial Advisors

CAIS continues to elevate the alternative investment journey through the mutual reinforcement of our advanced technology and deep integrations across the alts investment lifecycle—linking custodians, reporting providers, and fund administrators to create a more connected and efficient experience for advisors.
